In order to fulfill the requirement for graduation from the West Virginia University School of  Medicine all students must complete two months of non-campus based rural, clinical rotations during their fourth year. Rotations completed in West Virginia Rural Health Education Partnerships consortia may be completed along with students from both the Marshall University School of Medicine and the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine; also students from the Schools of Dentistry, Nursing, and Pharmacy of West Virginia University, and/or other health professions state programs as well (i.e., PAs, PTs, etc.). 

Students must participate in the following activities as arranged by site coordinators and/or field professors: 

    1. Interdisciplinary Sessions - case based discussions involving students from all 
        health science disciplines, facilitated by field faculty and/or students. 
    2. Community Service Learning Projects 
    3. Community Based Research Projects 

These activities are not to exceed an average of 20% of the rotation.

SCHEDULING: Students will submit their requests to the Office of Student Services, who will schedule the request using the on-line TRACKER System.
